Removing Wallpaper

Question:
I removed old wallpaper and mactac glue remained on the surface. I have tried to remove this gummy stuff from the walls to no avail. Is there anything that will remove this?

Answer:
I'm not sure why wallpaper would have a mactac residue left behind but a wallpaper remover will attack the glue helping to remove it.
